How to talk to it
- Tap the 🎤 next to Send, or press TAB on the keyboard.
- Speak. Stop talking and it notices, or tap again to stop early.
- Your words appear in the chat box so you can review them before sending.
- The answer comes back out loud through the built-in speaker. Typed questions are answered silently.
The rules it keeps
- The microphone is only live while the mic button blinks red, for 15 seconds at most.
- There's no wake word and no always-on listening. A wake word that misfires even once is worse than a button.
- Speech is processed on the device (whisper.cpp for listening, Piper for speaking). No voice data goes to a cloud service.
Volume is in the ≡ menu. Voice on or off is one of the setup choices.
