Your phone, and PHNTM Drop

Pair your phone

1. Show the code. On the device: ≡ → Show pairing code.
2. Scan it. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera.
3. Chat. A private chat opens in your phone's browser, served straight from the device over your own network.

There's no app store, no account and no cloud relay in between. The flip side is that your phone needs to be on the same network as the device, so there's no remote access out of the box.

Send files with PHNTM Drop

You can send files to PHNTM One from any computer or phone on your home network.

1. On the device, open Data & Privacy › PHNTM Drop. It shows the exact web address, which looks like http://phntm-one-<serial>.local:8800/drop, and a QR code to scan.
2. Open that address in a browser on your network and drag files onto the page. PDF, text and Markdown work.
3. The files cross your own network to the device, where they're read and indexed. They never leave your network.
4. Ask about them. Answers cite the exact file and page. You can delete anything in Docs.

If the phone can't reach it

• Guest networks and "AP isolation" stop devices on the same Wi-Fi from talking to each other. Put both on your normal network, or connect the device by Ethernet.
• Some routers block .local names. The device's screen always shows its real IP address, so use that instead.
