Unpublished work is the most private thing a writer has. PHNTM One is an assistant that runs on the device on your desk, so in Private mode your drafts, notes and research never leave the house.
How writers use it
- Ask your own material. Drop in a PDF or a text file from your phone or computer, then ask about it. Answers cite the exact file and page.
- It remembers your projects. Characters, deadlines, decisions: say "remember that…" and it's saved instantly. Correct it and it updates.
- Drafts and summaries, from a model that's capable, not magic. It will sometimes be wrong, and it always shows which brain answered.
- Reminders and open loops for the edits you're waiting on and the pitches you haven't sent.
Honest limits
It's slower and less clever than the big cloud models: a short answer usually takes tens of seconds. For a hard task you can switch on Boosted mode with your own key, but then that question leaves the box, and the answer is labelled so you know.
Questions
Does my writing leave the device?
Not in Private mode, which is the default. Documents you add are read and indexed on the device. Only if you turn on Boosted mode does a question, and the excerpts pulled in as context, go to the provider you chose.
What files can I add?
