BUILT AROUND YOUR EVERYDAY

Less searching.
More picking up where you left off.

For the project people. The notebook people. The “where did I put that PDF?” people. Give a few everyday jobs a permanent place on your desk.

01 / REMEMBER

Keep the thread.

Names, projects, decisions—the bits you’d rather not reconstruct on Monday. Ask PHNTM to remember a detail. Review it later, correct it, or tell it to forget.

Explore memory
02 / FIND

Ask your own documents.

Bring your PDFs, text and Markdown files. Ask about them locally, then check the supporting file and page references. AI and OCR can make mistakes.

03 / TALK

Make room to think.

Tap the microphone and talk it through. Hear a reply, work on a draft, or explore an idea. Local voice runs in Private mode. Connected messaging services remain separate choices.

ONE PROJECT. FEWER LOOSE ENDS.

An idea at 9 PM.
A place to pick it up tomorrow.

Here’s a suggested workflow. The example project is fictional; the tools are described in the current owner manual.

  1. Get it out of your head.

Open Notes and type or dictate the idea for your next workshop project. Review the transcript. Your original is saved before the model starts.

    Notes & voice →
  2. Keep the original. Try a draft.

Choose Develop idea for suggestions, or Project checkpoint to organize your own statements. AI drafts stay separate. You decide what earns a place in the project.

    See how Notes works →
  3. Ask the manual you already own.

Send the project’s PDF through PHNTM Drop on your local network. Ask a question, then check its cited file and page. OCR and AI can miss things; your source is still the authority.

    Local document questions →
  4. Leave tomorrow a breadcrumb.

Explicitly save a project detail as a memory. Set a reminder if you need one. Tomorrow, search your notes or ask about the saved detail. Future-you has enough to deal with.

    Memory & reminders →

Local processing in Private mode. Model answers take time; longer Notes can take several minutes. Reminders need a verified clock.

THE OCTOBER 7 BUILD

The useful stuff.
And the unglamorous stuff that matters.

Notes, local document questions, memory, voice, a phone browser companion and privacy tools are all part of the documented device. Optional Claude, Telegram, email and calendar connections have their own data paths.

Explore every capability & its status →

What I’ve been tightening up

Recurring reminders keep their pause state. Timezone changes preserve their intended occurrence. Document processing has tighter resource limits. Email approvals, phone credentials and recovery paths have received targeted repairs.

That’s less glamorous than a glowing orb. It’s also the work an appliance needs. Response-time and reliability improvements are ongoing.

Accepted development build, reviewed October 7. Updates are owner-initiated; this does not say a previously shipped unit already has these changes.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Some things
should stay
in your room.

Your conversations. Your notes. Your train of thought. In Private mode, PHNTM processes them on the device—without sending them to a cloud AI service.

See how privacy works
01

Your hardware. Your choice.

Local AI on a Raspberry Pi 5. Use the assistant without a cloud account or required subscription.

02

Works beyond the connection.

Local chat, memory, documents and voice keep working when the internet goes away.

03

Control stays with you.

Review your memories, delete your documents, and export your data. Optional cloud connections are yours to enable.

CHOOSE WHAT MATTERS TO YOU

A different kind
of desk companion.

For people who want personal assistance on their own hardware—and are comfortable with a smaller, slower model.

A place for your projects.

Keep notes, recall saved details and ask about your files without making your work computer the assistant.

Local when you choose.

Private mode runs inference here. Optional Claude, Telegram and connected accounts have explicit network paths.

Understand the trade.

Short answers can take tens of seconds. Frontier cloud models are stronger at complex reasoning; PHNTM prioritizes local operation and ownership.

you're bringing home.

I’m Jacob DeCamp. I built PHNTM One around a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB microSD and a 1920×1200 touchscreen. You should be able to inspect the hardware, the limits and the terms before you hand me $799.

Built for private, personal assistance.

PHNTM One uses a small local model. Open-ended answers take time, and complex reasoning is stronger on frontier cloud models. Understand the trade-offs before you order.

BEFORE YOU MAKE ROOM

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Read the full FAQ
Does it work without the internet?

Yes. Local chat, memory, documents and voice run on the device. Phone pairing uses your local network. Optional cloud services need internet access and must be enabled separately. How privacy works →

How does it compare with ChatGPT?

PHNTM One prioritizes privacy and ownership. Its small local model is slower and less capable at complex reasoning than frontier cloud models. Open-ended answers generate at roughly two words per second, varying with workload; longer answers can take over a minute. Optional Boosted mode uses your own Anthropic key and is billed separately by that provider. See the comparison →

Is there a subscription?

No required subscription for the local assistant. PHNTM One costs $799 plus applicable tax. Free US shipping is included. Optional third-party services can have their own costs.

Can I order outside the US?

Yes, international orders are available by quote, subject to delivery availability. Request a quote with your country and postal code. Orders shipping outside the US are subject to shipping charges. We confirm your destination, shipping cost, and power supply before payment. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees may also apply.

When will my PHNTM One ship?

PHNTM One is made to order and ships within 7–10 business days after payment. Carrier transit time is additional. You receive tracking by email when it ships. Shipping policy →

What if it isn't right for me?

After purchase, you have 30 days from delivery to request a return for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is your responsibility. A one-year limited hardware warranty covers defects under normal use. Read the full terms →
